How delivery actually works

Local deliveries are usually included at no extra charge, and most vehicles are professionally driven to you rather than trucked. Longer hauls run roughly $2 per mile, and multi-vehicle orders can go driven or transported, whichever pencils out. Prefer to come get it? We issue a temporary tag and you drive it home off the lot — plenty of buyers fly one person in and drive back, and churches often have a member who'll donate the trip.

Built-to-order mobility van: about a week for stock packages

FR's pre-configured Pacifica packages ship in as little as a week. Custom van configurations run longer.

Built-to-order shuttle bus: 60–120 days

The spread depends on two things — chassis availability (the Ford/Chevy cutaway supply moves in waves) and configuration complexity (a standard 14-passenger layout beats a 7-wheelchair flip-seat floor with rear luggage). HLE builds every bus to order in Wakarusa, Indiana; there's no "pull one off the line." A full custom build can go as far as your branding does — up to and including a complete exterior graphic wrap. A bus is a big vehicle; wrapped, it's a rolling billboard for your organization, and we recommend it.

What you control

Decide your spec quickly (capacity, wheelchair positions, luggage, door options — we'll walk you through it in one call), and run financing in parallel, not after. Pre-qualification takes a day; doing it while the build is quoted saves two to three weeks against doing things in sequence.

What nobody controls

Chassis allocation. When a chassis year changes over, lead times stretch. If your need date is fixed — a contract start, a season opening — order backward from that date with margin, or ask what's in stock and inbound. Sometimes the smart move is the 90%-right bus available now over the 100%-right bus in four months.
